Advertising terms

These campaign terms apply in addition to our general terms of use to every advertising placement booked through Tamarack Relay.

1. Booking a placement

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed the format — Weekly Site Banner, Morning Briefing Podcast Package or Full Console Campaign — the run dates and the price, in writing. We hold the agreed dates for your placement once confirmed.

2. Creative deadlines

Artwork for a banner or newsletter feature is due at least three business days before the run starts. Podcast scripts are due at least five business days before the first recording date, to allow time for revisions and recording.

3. Approval

We send a proof of your banner or newsletter artwork, or a draft podcast script, for your approval before anything is produced or airs. If we do not hear back within two business days, we will follow up before proceeding, and will not publish unapproved creative.

4. Make-goods

If a confirmed placement fails to run as agreed due to an error on our part — a missed banner day, an unaired podcast spot, a skipped newsletter feature — we will offer a make-good: an equivalent replacement placement at no extra cost, or a partial refund for the missed portion, at your choice.

5. Editorial independence

Advertising and editorial coverage are kept separate. Booking a placement does not entitle an advertiser to influence what our newsroom reports on, and our reporting on Saint-Laurent and the north island is not affected by who is advertising with us in a given week. Sponsored content, where used, is always labelled as such.

6. Content standards

Artwork, copy and scripts you submit must be lawful, accurate and appropriate for a general local audience. We may decline creative that does not meet this standard and will tell you why.

7. Payment and refunds

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these campaign terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
