Tamarack Relay
CH 01 — About

About Tamarack Relay

A local news site and weekly podcast covering Saint-Laurent and the north island, operating as Tamarack Relay.

CH 02 — Who We Are

Who we are

Tamarack Relay started as a way to cover the parts of the north island that larger outlets pass over quickly — zoning changes on Marcel-Laurin, a new business opening on a Cartierville commercial street, a school event in Bois-Franc. The site and the podcast are produced from a small newsroom based in the Saint-Laurent borough, operating as SEVEN SQUARE MEDIA INC.

Advertising is how the newsroom pays for itself. We sell three placement formats directly to businesses in the coverage area, at fixed prices, rather than running third-party ad networks across the site.

CH 03 — What We Do

What we do

We publish local news on the site and produce a weekday morning podcast briefing, and we sell three advertising formats that run inside both:

CH 04 — Who This Fits

Who this fits

Storefronts and clinics

Businesses with a physical address in Ville Saint-Laurent or Cartierville looking for local visibility.

Commuter-facing services

Businesses along the Marcel-Laurin corridor reaching people on their morning commute.

Community events

Markets, fairs and one-off events in Bois-Franc or Ahuntsic with a fixed date to promote.

Seasonal programming

Organisations planning a multi-week presence across the borough rather than a single ad.

CH 05 — Where We Are

Where we are

Our office is in the Saint-Laurent borough at 7140 Rue Albert Einstein, Suite 214, Montréal, QC H4S 2C1, and our coverage runs across Ville Saint-Laurent, Bois-Franc, Cartierville, Ahuntsic and the Marcel-Laurin corridor — the north island of Montréal. If you would like to visit or send something by mail, our contact page has our current hours and routing.

CH 08 — How We Work

How we work

Approach

Every placement uses one of three fixed formats, so what you approve is what publishes.

Quality control

A second person reviews artwork sizing and podcast scripts before recording or publishing.

Communication

One point of contact for the length of your booking, reachable by phone or email during business hours.

We use standard recording and layout equipment: a small recording booth for the podcast, a mixing desk for editing spots, and the same page template for every banner placement, so the finished product is consistent no matter which week it runs.
